Woodfalls Concert Brass are currently busy preparing for the Wessex Brass Band Association winter contest to be held on Saturday 1st December 2007 at the Weymouth Pavilion.
The last time the band competed in the competition was in 2005 when the band achieved 1st place (Championship Section) giving a captivating performance of Philip Sparke’s “The Year of the Dragon”. On that day band members were also awarded prizes for the best musical interpretation and best soloist. Click here for more information.
This year there is a choice of three pieces by the composer Philip Wilby to choose from -

Partita for Band
The contest features many local brass bands from the counties of Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset & Somerset. Here is a list of the Championship Section bands (and conductors) competing -
